Dreamcatchers & turning nine…

I have always been known to be that mum that likes to go all out for birthday parties, usually doing it myself staying up late for hours making things…

You know the one that other mum’s say “Oh your that kind of mum, the one we all hate because you show us up 🙂 ”

Well this year I found Blanket Fort Parties  Blanket Forts are these amazingly creative party architects who design whimsical and cosy blanket forts for hire at children’s slumber parties/sleepover parties. Indoor glamping for stylish kids, totally so cool. Zara loved the idea and wanted a dreamcatcher theme so we worked alongside head creative director of Blanket Forts Bec to come up with the ultimate dreamcatcher slumber party…

The excitement for Zara watching it all come together was overwhelming with Bec ensuring the finest of details were met. Colour coordinating Zara’s favourite colour Aqua in the little dreamcatchers hanging from the tents, to eye masks, torches, toothbrush sets they all got to take home. Za and I made sweet little calico bags with dreamcatcher prints that the girls decorated, and include a journal and dreamcatcher kit inside of them to make when they got home.. No detail was left out, from the sweet little fairy lights that made it all come to life as it became night…

No girl sleepover would be complete without chocolate and a lolly bar of course. I set up a beautiful lolly bar, featuring Zara’s Dreamcatcher artwork design that I made for her bedroom. The girls finished the night with Chocolate fondue and loads of yummy’s before settling into a movie marathon…

Laying in bed listening to the girls giggling and having fun, telling stories, staying up late and waking up before 6am (yes I had a nana nap Sunday arvo!) was what made it all worth it… Creating memories with friends that will last a lifetime…

Happy ninth Birthday to our Zara Lilly – We love you so very much ….

PS ~ I have asked Bec from Blanket Fort Parties  about a mums sleepover with wine bar instead of lolly bar – Could totally work right??? Throw in a little Magic Mike and we would be set….
